Avery’s kindergarten teacher had all the kids answer the question “What do you want to be when you grow up?”  It is always so funny to hear what the kids say.  You have the typical fireman, football player, ballerina, teacher etc.  One little boy said he wanted to be the BOSS when he grew up because they tell everyone what to do.  Funny!  When I asked Avery what she wanted to be, she said she wanted to be a doctor and a mommy - I love it that she is aiming high!!!  I think I wanted to be a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader or Olympic Gymnast when I was her age.

The teacher then had each child come to school dressed in over sized clothes of what they want to be when they grow up and they took a class picture that will be auctioned off as a fundraiser.  It was such a cute idea as they will look back and laugh.  Maybe some will actually turn out to be what they aspired to be in kindergarten.

I remember sitting in college my freshman year trying to decide what I wanted to be.  I admired my friend April that knew from a very young age that she wanted to be a dentist.  Sure enough, she is an excellent pediatric dentist and followed her dream from such a young age.  I knew I wanted to do something with people and have a fun job, but that was about it.

My hope is for all the little kindergartner’s out there to get a chance to make their dreams come true some day!
