8 is Enough

Sabrina Hall is a married mother of 8. She has 7 children of her own, including a set of fraternal twins, and a 17 year-old step-daughter that she doesn’t seem shy to brag about. Sabrina’s biological children range in age from 11 years, to 1 ½ years. Sabrina says she never planned to have ANY children, however, that all changed after having her first child and she realized that it just seemed natural. Sabrina worked outside of the home until September of this year, and didn’t really feel ready to make the transition to being a “stay-at-home mom.” She says, now that she is at home more, there seems to be even less hours in the day. All the children enjoy their extra-curricular activities including; soccer, baseball, football (both tackle and tag), basketball, and track. There is never a dull moment in the house and Sabrina is in no hurry for that to change, although, she says “I would love to sleep through the night occasionally.”
Going Green Mom

Kristen is a working mom who’s trying her very best to be some shade of green every single day. She wears many hats. . .mommy, wife, daughter, friend, employee, volunteer, celebrity gossip enthusiast, spa lover and now 918moms’ Going Green Mom blogger (emphasis on the GOING. . .this is her journey). Kristen has not always been environmentally conscious. She never litters while driving, but does drive an SUV. She tries to recycle religiously, but like all moms appreciates convenience like disposable diapers and juice boxes. Her favorite Saturday activity is supporting the local Farmers Market; but her coffee’s not fair trade, it’s Starbucks. Admittedly, she’s not perfect! But something happened when she became a mom to son, Kyan (2). She started to notice the smog over downtown, the polluted Arkansas river, the trash on the playground at LaFortune, and her son’s increasing allergy problems. So she might bleed orange for her sweet OSU-fanatic hubby, Kevin; but her heart is beating GREEN for her son. . .and hopefully more kids soon! Read about her (not always successful) quest to green up her family’s life, the 918 and the world!
