With school starting in a few short weeks, moms (and dads!) are starting to prepare for the change in schedule. And that includes changing what the kids eat.

What are your go-to recipes for packing school lunches or after school snacks? How do you keep things healthy and make sure your kids will eat what you send?

My son loves celery w/ peanut butter. It has protein and veggies. It is simple and cheap too.

My kids are out of school now, but when they went they liked peanut butter sandwhich, I made them with pancake surup or jelly or bananas. They had apple and a small bag of chips of their choice. HiC drink box.

Sandwiches (pbj or lunchmeat and cheese) cut out shapes with cookie cutters or a parfait of yogurt, fruit, and granola

My grandson loves graham cracker goldfish with peanut butter to dip them in and I give him all the peanut butter his little body can hold! He's a terribly picky eater, so we encourage his eating protein-packed peanut butter.

Low fat string cheese is a great way to get calcium in my daughter's lunch. Apple slices and chocolate peanut butter are her favorite snack. My secret is to microwave the peanut butter for about 15 seconds so she can dip the apple slices. It can be a little messy, but she loves it!
